Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code encodes your content directly, so there is no redirect service in the middle that could stop working. It will keep scanning for as long as the destination itself exists.

Is there a limit on how much text I can encode?

The QR standard tops out at roughly 2,900 characters, but long content produces a dense code that is hard to scan. For anything beyond a short link, keep it brief or point the code at a page instead.

Which error-correction level should I choose?

Medium suits most on-screen use. Choose High when the code will be printed small, placed on a curved surface, or has a logo over the middle — it can still be read with up to 30% of the code damaged.

Can I change the colours?

Yes, but keep a strong contrast between the foreground and background, and keep the background lighter than the pattern. Scanners rely on that contrast, and an inverted or low-contrast code often will not read.

Can I use these commercially?

Yes. The codes are yours to use however you like, with no watermark and no attribution needed.
