Frequently asked questions
How do I write page ranges?
Separate them with commas. "1-3, 5, 8-10" produces three files: pages 1 to 3, page 5 on its own, and pages 8 to 10. A single number gives a single-page file.
Can I delete pages instead of extracting them?
Indirectly, and it is often quicker. Extract the ranges you want to keep — to drop page 4 of a 10-page file, enter "1-3, 5-10" — then merge the pieces if you need them back in one document.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without being re-encoded, so each extracted page is pixel-identical to the original.
Why is my split file almost as big as the original?
Fonts and images are often shared across a document, so a single extracted page may still carry a large embedded font or image. Run the result through Compress PDF if size matters.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Splitting happens entirely inside your browser and nothing is transmitted or stored.
